Bianca Paige was a very popular and well known drag performer in the Nashville area. She also was a tireless volunteer raising countless dollars for various AIDS charities in the area. She died in early June from AIDS related complications. Her friends put together a fantastic memorial service at the Lowes Vanderbilt hotel, and later a block party at Blue Genes and Vibe. While I never knew her, nor saw her perform in person, she was obviously a very amazing person. I did see some of her performances on tape, and she was nothing short of amazing. RIP Bianca

May 1st & 2nd, Nashville, as well as other areas of the south got hit by devastating floods. In Middle Tennessee alone, about 20 people died. Officially at the airport, about 15" of rain fell in the two day period, causing the Cumberland river to rise to record level. It finally crested at around 53 feet, the highest since 1928. These are some pics from around my home.

NAGAA (North American Gay Amateur Athletics Alliance) held the Gay Softball World Series in Milwaukee. On Sept. 4th a Street Fest was held on 2nd & National. Acts included Frenchie David (from American Idol), Amber, and Chasin Mason.

Kenny Chesney performed at Summerfest July 3rd, 2009 along with Lady Antabelum and Maranda Lambert. The show was awesome! Kenny performed for over 2 hours, he just kept on going and going, one of the best shows I've ever seen. Adding to the performance was the U.S. Bank 4th of July fireworks

Country Fest USA is a yearly 4 day outdoor concert that takes place in Oshkosh, WI. This years headliners included Sugarland, Dirkes Bently, Kenny Chesney, Brooks & Dunn and a bunch more. Friday's shows featured local favorite Chasin Mason and Kenny Chesney/ It was an amazing experience, and definately something I will do again next year!
