Bianca Paige was a very popular and well known drag performer in the Nashville area. She also was a tireless volunteer raising countless dollars for various AIDS charities in the area. She died in early June from AIDS related complications. Her friends put together a fantastic memorial service at the Lowes Vanderbilt hotel, and later a block party at Blue Genes and Vibe. While I never knew her, nor saw her perform in person, she was obviously a very amazing person. I did see some of her performances on tape, and she was nothing short of amazing. RIP Bianca

May 1st & 2nd, Nashville, as well as other areas of the south got hit by devastating floods. In Middle Tennessee alone, about 20 people died. Officially at the airport, about 15" of rain fell in the two day period, causing the Cumberland river to rise to record level. It finally crested at around 53 feet, the highest since 1928. These are some pics from around my home.
